Murasaki Haruka:
Haruka was known to be the bad guy in school where both Miyuu and he goes. Went to party's to much, drank to much and was told to be very arrogant and selfish. Apparently all that was in his mind too, was sex. Even though that's what Miyuu had heard about him, she fell for him at the first glance and she couldn't understand why.
A long time passed by and all she did was look at him. The chance to talk to him never seemed to come and she was far too shy to walk straight up to him herself.
But one night when Miyuu was about to go home from a late walk, she saw in standing on the side of the walk, a couple of meters in front of her. So she decided to talk to him.
He was obviously drunk, but she enjoyed talking to him anyways.
After that meeting they met a lot. Both by coincidence and set ups. The more they got to know each other, the more they fought. Miyuu somehow confessed that she was in love with him, but he refused to make her his girlfriend. He said that she'd find someone better and that he wasn't someone you would want for a boyfriend.
What she didn't know was that he was falling for her too and it turned out that he had a fatal illness and didn't want her to get too involved in his life, since he could die any day.
But as soon as he told her about it, she said that she was willing to do anything to make him better and told him to take any chances to make everything better. She wouldn't let him pass away to easily.
Later, on a following meeting, Haruka didn't seem to be himself. He was happy and polite and that made Miyuu a bit suspicious. Was he just trying to get her into bed again?
No. He'd taken her advice to take every chance to make things better and had gone to the hospital. Miyuu was surprised, but happy of course. What he did next shocked her even more though.
He confessed to her. She didn't believe him, thought that he was joking. To prove her wrong, he grabbed her hands and kissed her.
They're now a couple.
And Haruka is unpatiently waiting for her to get ready for sex (so typically him).
She loves him a lot.
Yamada Ken:
Ken was her private music teacher. Since she liked to learn new things, she decided to learn to play the piano.
Miyuu didn't have many friends in school and really no one to talk to. Ken let her empty all her thoughts and often tried to her advice. He was something like an older brother to her and after a while they started meeting other than to teach her piano.
Ken moved a lot though, and soon had to go out of town for work. The piano lessons were already over and he didn't have anything to do in town.
As soon as Ken's in town, they'd meet.
Their relationship were never anything like a love relationship, but more like a sister- and brother relation. Miyuu never had an older brother and she felt very safe and comfortable in Ken's company.
History:
When Miyuu was 5, her parents died in a car accident. It was three days before her birthday and the both parents were on their way to buy her some birthday gifts. She blame their death on herself. If she wouldn't have been so selfish, wanting birthday gifts, they would've been alive- That's at least what she thinks.
She doesn't like to celebrate her own birthday ever since that happened, so she never tells anyone when her birthday is.
When the parents died, she moved in to her aunts house. But her life there wasn't really jolly. The aunts husband was a real creep and hit Miyuu all the time. She had to clean up for him, take him home from the pub when he was drunk and make food for him when the aunt wasn't home. The cousin was never at home and the aunt worked late. Miyuu was mostly alone with her terrible uncle by marriage.
He often told her how lousy she was and that she'd never get a job if she continued being so lazy. And even though all of his words were lies, Miyuu listened to him and believed everything he said.
When she was fifteen though, she'd had enough. She had been working on different part time jobs, so she had enough money to move away. She now lives alone in an apartment. Even though she's happier now, she still remembers everything that happened and she's got some bad scars on her back from the uncle's hitting. She's very ashamed of her scars and afraid that someone will see them, so she hides them carefully.
"Daily life":
She's one of the top students of her school and is very serious with her studies. All of her classmates seem to be a bit jealous of her and freezes her out of the group. They sometimes pick on her for her intelligence and she has barely any friends.
That doesn't bother her much though. As long as she's got Haruka and Ken, she's happy.
